Two Similar Blair Waldorf Smiles :-)

Chuck helps Blair with her insecurity issues by paying a photographer to take her picture.  ”Dumbo could always fly, he just needed a magic feather.”  

Photographer: Excuse me, can I take your picture?

Blair: What? Why? (small smile)

Photographer: Aren’t you Blair Waldorf?

Blair: Yes.  Yes, I guess I am.

5.10

Chuck: Just because Louis is the father of your child does not mean you should be with him, you should be with me.

Blair: Why? (small smile)

Chuck: Because I’m going to love your baby as much as I love you.

Watching 5.10 was so beautiful but it hurt so much because of what happened, but when I was first watching the ep, I thought that Blair had smiled similarly before.  The same small smile, where her eyes light up, and you just know that she is truly happy.  These moments are so adorable I want to cry.  Blair doesn’t exude sunshine the way Serena does, but her quiet moments of happiness are so sweet, so Blair. <3

It’s funny, because in 5.10, Blair tells Chuck, “You chose that moment not to be selfish?”  And when you think about it, so many things Chuck did for Blair that were completely unselfish, things he never took credit for, things he did so that she could feel happy.  ”When she’s with Louis she shines.  That’s the Blair I love”. (4.22).

And then, telling Blair that she should be with him, in 5.10, it was because he knew that he could make her happy because he loved her so tremendously, so powerfully, so relentlessly, so unwaveringly.  Chuck is the biggest Blair/Happiness shipper ever. <3 And with Blair’s tiny smiles, and the way her eyes light up around Chuck you can really see that.  Even though she was so tired and sad and scared in 5.10, when she said, “Why?” with her little smile to Chuck, you could see her glow, you could see that she was truly happy.  One of those rare moments when she was smiling, and it was coming from her heart.

Blairhappiness would probably express this better, but yup, this is the gist of it. :-)
